Our Story
Founded in 2023, UmemeSense is a women-led clean-tech startup redefining how renewable energy creates value.
Our journey began with a simple question — how can solar power be made not just sustainable, but financially rewarding for the people who produce it?
What started as an idea among young engineers has evolved into a recognized innovation company (officially registered in Kenya) developing smart energy monitoring solutions that help producers track, verify, and monetize their clean power through the Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) market.
Rooted in African innovation, UmemeSense was built to bridge the gap between clean energy and economic opportunity. Through strategic partnerships with Jacob’s Ladder Africa and ARK, and recognition across multiple innovation platforms, we continue to prove that sustainability and profitability can go hand in hand.
