Umeme Sense at GITEX GLOBAL 2025

We’re proud to announce that our Co-Founder, Mercy Runo, has been selected to speak on Green Entrepreneurship in Africa at GITEX GLOBAL 2025 the world’s largest tech & AI expo, happening 13–17 October 2025 in Dubai.

As a finalist in the IEEE Region 8 Entrepreneurship competition, Mercy will showcase how Umeme Sense is redefining renewable energy with smart metering and REC monetization tailored for Africa. This platform gives her the opportunity to pitch in front of global investors, tech leaders, and policy-makers.

GITEX GLOBAL’s 45th edition will feature over 40 exhibition halls, hosting innovations across AI, sustainable tech, blockchain, and more. We’re excited to represent Umeme Sense and Kenya on the global stage, bringing African green innovation to the heart of the world’s tech ecosystem.
